Default Asianet Digital TV - ADTV

Hi, I am starting this thread , to share the thoughts/feedbacks of all Asianet Cable Vision - ADTV users in Kerala.
Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd. is the largest cable network services company in the state of Kerala and one of the largest such companies in the world. Started in 1993, Asianet Satellite Communications has today grown in size and reach. Its cable network services operate from over 50 centers spread throughout Kerala and touch over half a million homes and establishments. The Asianet cable network carries up to 115 channels. It includes seven exclusively-owned channels which are only cable-cast over our network, namely Asianet Cable Vision (ACV, a news, events and movie channel), Jukebox (interactive video music channel), Medley (another interactive video music channel), RoseBowl, Hi & Info. It is the leading service provider in the region for Asianet Digital TV, Cable TV and Internet solutions, and has embarked on a fascinating journey into the CONVERGENCE era and adoption of evolving technologies.
ACV has entered into digital telecasting named Asianet Digital Television (ADTV). The telecasting has been officially launched on Chingam 1 2006.
The telecasting is made possible via a network of underground optical fibre cables laid from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod. The new service offers over 115-channel with the help of a digital head-end set up in Kochi. The US-based Scientific Atlanta is providing the technical support for the ADTV. The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) of the cable service will let the subscribers set the time to watch their favourite programme by automatically switching over to the programme. The ADTV has plans to introduce various phone-in-demand programmes such as digital video, video-on-demand, interactive programme and video recording. Video-on-demand will help subscribers choose films, TV programmes and soap operas they like to watch. At present the digital service is available at a monthly rent of Rs 199 plus taxes, while the analogue service is charged at Rs 165 plus taxes.
